The Encyclopaedia of Antique Roses

The Encyclopaedia of Antique Roses

Rose plates are the only visual record we have of the old roses of the 19th century and earlier. Bob Edberg of Limberlost Rose Books is publishing the plates from the French “Journal des Roses” in a seven volume set. Also included is the original French text with English translation. I own all of them and they are amongst the most beautiful books in my Rose Library. If you love old roses and rose books this collection should be in your library.

Each volume is of the highest quality, printed on acid-free archival stock, is 9 inches wide by 12 inches long and weighs approximately 7 pounds.

Volume I contains 72 plates with original French text and English Translation. The price is $210. (Volume I is currently sold out. Bob will be doing a reprint in the Summer of 2006. If you order it your card will not be charged until the Volume is ready to be shipped)

Volume II contains 78 plates with original French text and English Translation. The price is $210. (Available Now)

Volume III contains 60 plates with original French text and English Translation. The price is $185. (Available February 2006)

Volume IV, Volume V, Volume VI and Volume VII will be ready over the next few years. We will notify you when they are.
