An all day workshop with Michael Marriott, Technical Director of David Austin Roses United Kingdom. This workshop is a must for anyone who grows and loves David Austin Roses. The workshop runs from 9-4 and features a talk, slide show, question and answer and time in the garden with Michael. Lunch is included. Each day is limited to 60 people. The dates are Friday Oct. 5, 2007 and Saturday Oct. 6, 2007. Price for the day is $65 per person, payable in advance and is non-refundable.

Michael will spend time discussing the lineage and family lines of the various David Austin Roses and how that may affect growh habit. He will also spend time on the gardens he has designed, roses he loves and the history of David Austin Roses. While in the garden we will have time for questions and answers, tips on how to get the best out your David Austin Roses and a whole host of rose related things.

Michael is first and foremost a great gardener and lover of roses and this is a day not to be missed. Come spend the day with one of the rose world's finest rosarians.

Michael Marriott - Brief Biography

After graduating in Agricultural Botany at Reading University and working for a short time in research I went to the Pacific region growing rubber , cocoa and oil palm. I started working with roses in 1984 on my return to the UK, joining David Austin Roses in 1985 firstly as nursery manager and more recently as technical manager giving advice, drawing up rose garden plans and generally promoting the nursery and David Austin’s English Roses around the world. I have been a passionate gardener and plants person from an early age.
